It was a weekend full of news for the “Mundo Boca”.
On the one hand, the club made official the arrival of a new sponsor and, in addition, it transpired that former president Mauricio Macri will participate in the next club elections.
In principle, after several months of having the shirt without advertising, Boca announced that it will have DircTV as a new sponsor on the number of its kit.
The club will receive a figure close to 2.5 million dollars annually from the satellite chain. The brand will be stamped on the back for the next three seasons and the premiere will be tonight when Boca receives defense and justice, from 9:00 p.m.
In Boca now they are doomed to close with the main sponsor in the front of the caisets decorating the yellow band that crosses horizontally. And for this clothing sector, Xeneize would already have two options to define between one of them to definitively close the issue. There are two companies that offered their sponsorship and surely the club will close with one of them in the next few days. One is Codere, a well-known bookmaker in Argentina and the world. The other latent option is Esporte da Sorte, a Brazilian company that landed in soccer in that country to accompany Gremio.
On the political side, it was learned that Mauricio Macri will report on April 3, when the club turns 118, that it will participate in the next elections as a member of an opposition payroll. The former president, who already supported the candidacy of Andrés Ibarra, will initially run as a member to later be second vice president in the event that his group prevails in the year-end elections.
On the sports side, Boca will be local today against Defensa y Justicia, for the sixth date of the Professional Soccer League.
The match will be played at La Bombonera from 9:00 p.m., with the arbitration of Fernando Espinoza and TV in charge of the cable signal TNT Sports.
In this context and in relation to the last formation, the one that thrashed the “Patron” last Wednesday in the final of the Argentine Super Cup, Sergio Romero, Bruno Valdez and Guillermo “Pol” Fernández will enter. The changes will be in place of Javier García, Facundo Roncaglia and Ezequiel Fernández,
