Olympic champion Alexander Zverev confidently goes into the Indian Wells Masters. “I feel good. I already felt good in Dubai and hopefully it will get better every week now,” said the tennis professional from Hamburg to the German Press Agency.

At the event in southern California, Zverev is seeded number twelve and therefore only enters the second round. “I feel like I’m back to competing and being on a level with the best players in the world,” he said.

At the ATP tournament in Dubai, Zverev had recently made it to the semifinals and had won at least two games in a row for the first time since his serious foot injury last year. “That was very important. Dubai showed me that a bit. Hopefully it will be even better here,” he said. Zverev suffered several ankle ligament injuries at the French Open and only took part in a competition again at the beginning of this year.
