Just seconds after the final whistle of the round of 16 second leg in the Champions League between FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain, the Argentine world champion was confronted with a speedster. The young man stormed onto the lawn of Munich’s Allianz Arena and ran towards the world footballer. On the way to Messi, however, the wet grass in the stadium was his undoing: the speedster slipped and fell to the ground.
He was then stopped by stewards and taken off the pitch. The man called Messi’s name several times, but the 35-year-old didn’t respond. Previously, he had suffered a bitter 2-0 defeat against Bayern with PSG. After the 1-0 defeat in the first leg, the star ensemble from the French capital was eliminated from the premier class.
