Rohrbach-Berg’s kickers got off to a good start last weekend with a 2-0 win over SPG St. Florian/Niederneukirchen. Tomorrow at SC Marchtrenk a tough challenge awaits Christian Eisschiel’s team. “Against SC Marchtrenk it’s probably one of the most difficult away games of the whole season. They have a very experienced team and the pitch is always very difficult to play on. It will be a duel on an equal footing. Small things will decide,” says Eisschiel. After the successful start, the team’s self-confidence is right. “We were very disciplined at the start, but we still have room for improvement in all areas,” said Eisschiel.
Bad Leonfelden will also need an increase in tomorrow’s home game against Traun. After the 2-1 defeat against latecomers Blau-Weiss-Linz 1b, the autumn champions want to get back on the road to victory. “It certainly wasn’t the start we wanted, but we analyzed it well internally and everyone in the team knows what is needed for future games,” says Bad Leonfelden’s sporting director Dominik Mach. All of the players in the Kurstadt team are fit and eager to play. Mach: “The team is well adjusted and wants to show their best at home in front of their home crowd.”
There will be a Mühlviertel duel tomorrow in Schwertberg: The ninth in the table will meet the newly promoted team from Putzleinsdorf.
In the Upper Austrian league, Union Perg is hoping for the first points in spring against Micheldorf in front of their home crowd. Perg’s coach Jürgen Prandstätter attributes the derby defeat to Pregarten to the poor evaluation of chances: “We actually have to lead 3-0 after 30 minutes, but the game is over, the focus is now on the game against Micheldorf.” The SPG Pregarten is playing away in Ostermiething tomorrow.
