Outgoing combined Olympic champion Eric Frenzel made the decision to retire with his family in the past few days.
“After the World Cup, I was at home for a few days when the topic came up again. We said: Hey, we’ve explained what the situation is like. Frenzel, who is the most decorated male athlete with 18 medals at the Nordic World Ski Championships, had announced his retirement from active sport at the end of this season. “I’m proud of my career and grateful.
