PSG plans to buy the biggest and most iconic stadium in France

He Paris Saint-Germain submit an offer in the tender launched by the French State to sell the French stadium in the summer of 2025, an internal source from the club indicated this Friday, confirming information from the newspaper L’Equipe.

“We are candidates to buy the Stade de France”pointed out this source about an enclosure whose price is estimated at €600 million ($635 million)specifying that the offer has not yet been submitted.

On March 7, the French State published the two offers: one for the assignment, the other for a new concession, with a delivery date of April 27, according to the documents consulted by the AFP.

The offers delivered, both for the assignment and for the concession, will be studied in 2024, for a probable attribution in 2025.

A few months ago the president of the PSG Nasser Al-Khelaifi revealed his anger at the difficulties he was encountering in the negotiations with the city council of Paris for a possible purchase of Princes Parkthe club’s historic stadium.

A few weeks later the mayoress of the French capital, Anne Hidalgoreplied that the stadium “was not for sale.”

“If this does not advance with the Paris City Council, we will prepare other options”specified the internal source of the psgadding that the negotiations on the Princes Park with Anne Hidalgo they had not advanced.

The Qatari-owned club in the capital considers that if it does not become the owner, it will not be able to start expansion and modernization works, estimated at €500 million ($529 million).
