In the sunshine, the Swiss was 0.65 seconds faster than Brennsteiner in the first run of the classic Podkoren race, who knew how to use the good slope conditions, even with start number 13, for a top run. The Pinzgauer finished the last three races in Kranjska Gora in second, fifth and third place.
Local hero Zan Kranjec (+0.53) and Henrik Kristoffersen (+0.54) are on course for the podium in Slovenia. Second best Austrian was Marco Schwarz (6th), who lost a lot of time in the lower part (+0.94). For Manuel Feller, the race was over after 20 seconds. It was the Tyrolean’s fourth failure in a row in this discipline. Raphael Haaser was 15th after 30 runners, Roland Leitinger 19th, Patrick Feurstein 21st. The decision will take place from 12.30 p.m. (live ORF 1).
