The man from Salzburg only had to admit defeat to the Slovenian Anze Lanisek in the competition, which is part of the Raw Air series, and finished second, 5.8 points behind. The German Karl Geiger came in third. The second best ÖSV eagle was Michael Hayböck in eleventh place.

After the first round, Kraft was just ahead of Norwegian Johann Andre Forfang and Lanisek with a jump of 129.5 m. However, the Slovenian overtook the Austrian in the final with a jump to the day’s highest distance of 139.5 m, while Kraft could not improve due to changing wind conditions and landed at 128.5 m. For Lanisek it was the first success at Holmenkollen. Meanwhile, Forfang dropped back to tenth place. Hayböck, on the other hand, improved by eight places with 132.5 m in the second round.

Daniel Tschofenig was 14th. Manuel Fettner was unlucky, coming into the final in tenth place and having to deal with binding problems before his second jump. He ended up dropping six places and finishing 16th.

Another men’s large hill event is scheduled for Sunday in Oslo (4.30 p.m./live ORF 1). In the Raw Air series, there are nine consecutive days of qualifications and competitions to be completed. The points achieved in the qualification are counted.
