Former national coach: “Image”: Löw can imagine a job in Brazil

That would be a real surprise. According to a media report, Joachim Löw should be able to imagine the job as Brazil’s national coach. So far, a former Bayern coach is considered the top candidate.

According to a media report, Joachim Löw should be able to imagine the job as national soccer coach of Brazil.

As the “Bild” writes, the 63-year-old is considering Tite’s successor. There were no details or information about the source of the information. Tite quit as Brazilian national coach after the quarter-finals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Since then, the Brazilian association CBF has been looking for a successor.

Löw was head coach of the DFB selection from 2006 to 2021 and previously assistant coach under Jürgen Klinsmann. In 2014 he won the title with the German team at the World Cup in Brazil after beating the hosts 7-1 in the semifinals. After the end of the round of 16 at the EM 2021, Löw resigned.

Off for Tite to Qatar

Tite was eliminated with Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar in the quarterfinals against Croatia. He had previously announced that he would be leaving as national coach after the tournament. Since then, the search for a successor at the association has been in full swing. According to several media reports, former Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti has been the top candidate for the post. However, the 63-year-old Italian is still under contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2024. José Mourinho or former Benfica coach Jorge Jesus should also be candidates.

CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues plans to travel to Europe in early April to talk to potential successors. It is not known whether there will also be an appointment with Löw.

Löw’s greatest success, apart from winning the 2014 World Cup title, was success in the 1997 DFB Cup with VfB Stuttgart. He was also Austrian champion with FC Tirol Innsbruck in 2002. A year later he won the Supercup with Austria Wien.
