Do or die for the Steinbach Black Wings! In the quarter-final series, Linz have their backs to the wall against the leaders of the regular season and need a home win to force a final and decisive game 7 in Bolzano on Tuesday.
Interview with head coach Philipp Lukas after game 5:
In terms of personnel, Linz will have to do without the suspended Emilio Romig and Dennis Sticha, who is not yet fit. Shawn St-Amant will be decided at short notice. Otherwise, Philipp Lukas can fall back on his entire staff.
“We have to put Game 5 behind us. As bitter as this game was for us, it was just one game in this series,” says the head coach. “It’s bitter, but not over. We have to get up,” said striker Andreas Kristler.
To shorten the time until kick-off, we recommend Gerd Kragl’s comeback blog, which has excellent news to report:
We also recommend the icebreaker podcast, which is currently all about the 20th anniversary of Linz’s first championship title. Listen to the current episode with Markus Peintner:
