After the 2020/21 winter, 26-year-old Granerud has secured the overall World Cup for the second time, and is the first Norwegian to do so. The Norsker also won the Four Hills Tournament this year.
Granerud has won twelve World Cup competitions so far this season. The record of the Slovenian Peter Prevc, the Slovenian won 15 times in winter 2015/16, is still possible for him. Due to Kubacki’s waiver, Salzburg’s Stefan Kraft now has a better chance of taking second place in the overall standings. Before the competition on Sunday (4 p.m., ORF 1), the 29-year-old is 142 points behind Kubacki in third place.
