Head coach Galtier had called this extra because of the defeat against Lorient on Sunday.
However, Messi skipped the unit: As reported by the French sports newspaper “L’Equipe”, the Argentine world champion had asked PSG for permission to travel because he wanted to make an appointment as a tourism ambassador in Saudi Arabia. After the embarrassing home defeat against Lorient, the club said no to Messi’s travel plans. The Argentine didn’t seem to care – he presented the club with a fait accompli.
