Eintracht Frankfurt has been without a win for nine games. However, coach Oliver Glasner is not available – even if the big goal of the European Cup is currently a long way off. The 48-year-old is “always very relaxed”: “If someone thinks that someone can do it better than Oliver Glasner, then they will tell me. Then I’ll pack my things and the next one will try,” said Glasner after the recent 1-1 draw against FC Augsburg.

From the management level of the traditional Hessian club, which won the Europa League with the coach and moved into the Champions League, there has so far been no indication of a possible separation. “We have to go through it together now,” said sporting director Markus Krösche. After the meager draw, the hope of making progress in the Bundesliga and making it into the Europa League burst.

It can still succeed by winning the DFB Cup: To do this, the Glasner team must win in the semi-finals on Wednesday (8.45 p.m.) at VfB Stuttgart.

Endgame for Glasner?

Even if there have been repeated reports in recent weeks about the interest of some top clubs in Riedauer – if he is eliminated in the cup against Stuttgart, a possible stay in Frankfurt could no longer be in his hands. Most recently, there was a specially initiated farewell to Glasner. The appeal of leading a top international club is said to be there. Chelsea FC or even Real Madrid are said to have dealt with the Innviertler.

According to various media reports, the ex-professional’s contract, which runs until 2024, contains an exit clause that he must draw by a certain date. Accordingly, the day refers to Eintracht’s last mandatory game of the season.
