LASK wants to be more modern in the future. That’s why the people of Linz not only presented the clothes for the coming season on Friday, but also a changed brand identity.
According to a club broadcast, the starting point for all considerations was the LASK flag, which has been part of the club’s identity since 1919 and contains the LASK lettering. “We developed our own LASK font from the four letters LASK shown on it, which thanks to its uniqueness enables the club to have an absolutely independent appearance, even in the digital space,” explains Nina Kern from Buero NEST, which developed the new brand identity.

The well-known round coat of arms, which was previously only a small part of the logo, will be used more as an independent element from now on. It is already present on many surfaces in the Raiffeisen Arena, such as on the glass fronts.
“It has been a long-cherished wish of our fans to see more use of the crest, which is so deeply rooted in our club’s history. We are now taking this request into account,” says LASK President Siegmund Gruber.
The kit design is said to be a homage to the golden ’60s. The inspiration for the new design comes from an iconic LASK dress from 1969, which is also available as a retro dress in the LASK fan shop. The new jersey is thus a reminiscence of the golden sixties with four finals in the ÖFB Cup, the runner-up title in 1962 and the double win in 1965. With Dolfi Blutsch, a double hero plays a central role in the official presentation video of the new jersey .
