After the previous Micheldorf coach Hubert Zauner left the club at the end of the season, Schlierbach coach Falko Feichtl was hired as a new game director.

Falko Feichtl is no stranger to Micheldorf. After all, from 2010 to 2014 he was a central defender at the traditional green and white club. After stints in Pettenbach and as player-coach in Schlierbach, the 39-year-old will return to his former place of work in July. With the Stiftskickers, the coach from St. Florian made the much-acclaimed promotion to the Landesliga West. Now he should promote young talents at the Dino der Liga in Micheldorf and keep the club in the LT1 Upper Austria league. “I would like to expressly thank the Schlierbach football family for the wonderful years. Especially in the team and in the sporting direction under Ewald Hollinger and Raphael Watzinger,” says Feichtl.

In Micheldorf, the new coach wants to play attractive football and also integrate young players. Feichtl wants to play in 4-2-3-1 or 3-4-3 as well as with attack pressing and counter-attacking football. “There are many fast players in the squad, from whom I demand passion and commitment,” said the designated Micheldorf coach.

“Will kindle new fire”

After the previous head coach Hubert Zauner announced his departure from Micheldorf, the sporting directors, Mario Bramberger and Ronald Höllhuber, were looking for a new coach for the next season. “Since Falko knows the green-white family very well and was recently extremely successful as a coach (including championship title) with the neighbor from Schlierbach, he was a dream solution for the entire board. But he will not only ignite a new fire in our squad. He will also help bring our youth department and juniors closer to the level of the LT1 Upper Austria league,” says Micheldorf sports coordinator Mario Bramberger.

Feichtl started his career as a player in his home town of St. Florian. He then played for FC Wels, Grün-Weiß Micheldorf, Union Pettenbach and Union Schlierbach.
