Mauricio Pochettino will be technical director of Chelsea starting next season, after positively closing today a negotiation open since last April.
The 51-year-old from Rosario will sign a contract in the coming days contract until mid-2026 but will only assume when the current campaign endsreported European media.
Chelsea went through the current season with four coaches: the German Thomas Tuchel, the British Graham Potter, the Spanish Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard, who was appointed as caretaker until the end of the cycle.

The Argentine will define the formation of the coaching staff and will discuss the hiring policy with the board, which, according to the English media, would include Lautaro Martínez as a priority.
Chelsea will be Pochettino’s third Premier League team, after Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, whom he qualified to the 2018/19 Champions League final.
