LASK equips goalkeeper talent and AKA self-build player Lukas Jungwirth with a long-term contract, the 19-year-old signs until 2026. Two years ago, the Mühlviertler, who switched to the LASK youth team at the age of eleven, signed his first contract with the Black and white and gained first professional experience in the 2021/22 season at the former cooperation club FC Juniors OÖ in the second division. In the current season, Jungwirth has kept goal for LASK Amateure OÖ thirteen times. The seven-time ÖFB youth national player is currently part of the U19 national team and has also been part of head coach Didi Kühbauer’s matchday squad three times.

“Building on our young goalkeepers”

“Lukas is a great goalkeeping talent. He made his professional debut at the age of 16 and is already a real leader on the field. With the early extension, we are consistently continuing on the path that we have already taken with the extensions of Tobias Lawal and Nikolas Polster: We are building on our young goalkeepers,” says Radovan Vujanovic, Managing Director Sport at LASK.

And young keeper Lukas Jungwirth himself? He is looking forward to his further time with the athletes: “I’ve been in the club for eight years now and feel extremely comfortable. I’m very happy about the great trust that LASK has placed in me with the contract extension and I’m looking forward to the next few years in black and white.”
