The Miami Heat win again at the Boston Celtics. With a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, the underdog is now in a good position going into two home games.
The Boston Celtics also botched their second home game against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. The NBA record champion lost 111:105 and lost a double-digit lead twice.
To advance to the NBA Finals, a team needs four wins in the best-of-seven series, with the third and fourth games taking place in Miami. The Heat around their leader Jimmy Butler, who were only eighth in the playoffs, now have an advantage because of this.
Butler was again the top pitcher in the Heat with 27 points and also had 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Caleb Martin also had a strong game with 25 points as a substitute. “We never stop, we never give up. We have so much trust in each other,” Butler said. “We hit the important baskets.”
Jayson Tatum had 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists with the Celtics. He scored all of his five points in the final quarter with free throws. None of his three attempts from the current game went in, which is one of the reasons why the Celtics gave up their 11-point lead.
The Celtics started the playoffs as the second-best main-round team in the Eastern Conference. The Heat had only secured participation via the play-in.
