LASK drew a sporting dream lot in the Europa League draw on Friday in Monte Carlo:
The athletes meet Liverpool in Group E. In addition, the Belgian ex-champion Saint Gilloise, a Brighton satellite club, and the French cup winner Toulouse were drawn.
Runner-up Sturm Graz will face Atalanta Bergamo, Sporting Lisbon and Rakow (Pol) in Group D.
The first group game will take place on September 21st, the sixth game will take place on December 14th. The group winners are in the round of 16. The runners-up in the group advance to the intermediate round. The third teams move to the Conference League.
The two red-white-red representatives have already secured the entry fee of 3.63 million euros. There is an additional 630,000 euros for victories in the group phase, and a tie is worth 210,000 euros. Further UEFA bonuses in the millions based on the club coefficient as well as based on the TV market are also guaranteed. The Europa League Final will take place on 22 May 2024 at the Dublin Arena.
