Argentine midfielder Matías Zaracho has recovered from a tear in the back of his right thigh and is under the orders of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to be taken into account at Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, as announced today by the Brazilian press.
In this context, Gazeta Esportiva reported that the former Racing Club player will reinforce Atlético Mineiro in the match against Botafogo, comfortable leader of the Brasileirao, when the tournament resumes on September 16 after the break due to the South American Qualifiers.
The club’s medical department discharged the 25-year-old Argentine so that he is at the disposal of coach Scolari, who will include him in the squad list for the match with Botafogo.
During his recovery, Zaracho was released by Atlético to say goodbye to his father, who died on August 30 in Argentina.
Atlético Mineiro is currently in ninth position with 31 points, 20 behind Botafogo, with the aim of reaching the top six and qualifying for the 2024 Copa Libertadores.
