On penalties and at home, Boca is Under 20 intercontinental champion

Mouth became champion of the Intercontinental Cup Under 20by defeating AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands by 4 to 1 in the penalty shootout, after having tied 1 to 1 during regulation time, in a match played this afternoon at the La Bombonera stadium.

The great figure was goalkeeper Sebastián Díaz Robles, who deflected two shots in the definition from twelve steps.

The goals of the match were scored by Kess Kwakman for the Dutch team, in the initial half, and by Enoch Mastoras, against, in the second half.

In this way, Boca became the first team in the world to win this trophy, both professionally and under 20 years old.

With more than 35 thousand people present at the Bombonera, Silvio Rudman’s team won its second consecutive title, after having won the Copa Libertadores of the category that was played in Chile, after beating Independiente del Valle from Ecuador.

The match was very balanced, although Boca tried to impose themselves from the beginning, but surprisingly found themselves at a disadvantage: at 43, Kwakman finished from outside the area, the ball grazed Di Lollo and ended up in the back of the goal.

Forced, Boca came out more determined in the complement and reached equality in the 13th minute, after a free kick from Benítez, from the right, the ball hit Mastoras and dislodged the Dutch goalkeeper.

Despite their momentum, Boca could not break the rival defense in the decisive stretch and everything was settled on penalties.

The reserve goalkeeper, Díaz Robles, was the great figure, as he saved two penalties from the three shots taken against him, while his teammates converted theirs.

Nahuel Génez was the first to put the team ahead with a great shot, Lautaro Di Lollo, Natán Acosta and finally Valentín Fascendini scored and gave the trophy to Boca.
