SV Ried returns to winning ways: After the defeat before the international break against GAK (0:1), the Innviertel team won today’s Sunday game against Kapfenberg 2-0.

Coach Maximilian Senft’s team dominated the game right from the start – and had a great chance to take the lead after just eight minutes: After a cross from Philipp Pomer, a Kapfenberg kicker got the ball, and referee Alain Sadikovski decided Penalty. Nik Marinsek started – but failed because of ex-Ried goalie Richard Strebinger in the Falken’s goal.

The Innviertel fans didn’t have to wait long for the opening goal: after a corner, the ball came via a detour to striker Mark Grosse in the 13th minute, who scored his third goal of the season to make it 1-0.

In the second half – in which new signing Nemanja Celic made his debut for the Vikings – the home team extended their lead: Nikki Havenaar (73′) was able to head in again from a corner – 2-0.

The victory was never in danger – but things got really heated again in the finish: Substitute Belmin Beganovic escaped the KSV defense and was rustically stopped by guest kicker Meletios Miskovic. Referee Sadikovski immediately pulled out the red card – and had his hands full with the subsequent formation of the pack.
