Real defeated Real Sociedad San Sebastian 2-1 (0-1) in the Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday and took back the lead in the table ahead of arch-rivals FC Barcelona.
The Basques, opponents of RB Salzburg in the Champions League and visiting the Austrian champions on October 3rd, took the lead through Ander Barrenetxea (5th). Driven offensively again and again by the strong Japanese Takefusa Kubo, Real Sociedad failed to extend their lead.
Immediately after the restart, Real equalized through Federico Valverde (46th). Joselu, who hit the crossbar in the 16th minute, scored the winning goal in the 60th minute.
