The German runner-up Borussia Dortmund has to play against Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup. This was the result of the draw on Sunday in the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Bayern’s conquerors 1. FC Saarbrücken from the 3rd football league will also meet last year’s finalists Eintracht Frankfurt. There will be a second pure Bundesliga duel on December 5th or 6th between Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfL Wolfsburg.

The round of 16 matches will take place at the beginning of December, with the first quarter-finals continuing at the end of January. FC Saarbrücken) were eliminated in the second round. For the first time in more than 30 years, only six Bundesliga clubs are in the round of 16. This was previously only the case in the 1992/93 season.
