The Northern Irish borrowed the 41-year-old Czech, who has been employed on skates and ice at lower-class British clubs in recent years, from Oxford City Stars.
The Giants, who defeated Red Bull Salzburg (1-0) and lost to Innsbruck (1-2) in the Champions Hockey League this year, announced this on Wednesday.

Cech, who played more than 600 games for Chelsea and Arsenal, ended his football career in 2019 and then switched to ice hockey. Now he is supposed to temporarily help out in Belfast. “Petr is a highly decorated athlete who knows what it takes to perform at the highest level, so his support during this loan period will be invaluable,” said Giants head coach Adam Keefe.
