Biathlete Vanessa Voigt took fourth place in the mass start at the end of the World Cup dress rehearsal in Antholz. The 26-year-old from Thuringia was 7.9 seconds short of her third podium finish this winter.

The Frenchwoman Julia Simon (1 mistake) secured victory over 12.5 kilometers in Italy ahead of her compatriot Lou Jeanmonnot (0) and the Swiss Lena Häcki-Groß (1). Voigt had already taken fourth place in the shortened individual in Antholz and once again confirmed her good form.

Voigt won the single mixed competition on Saturday together with Justus Strelow. The day after, she also appeared confident and hit all 20 shots. However, Voigt couldn’t quite keep up with the leaders on the cross-country ski trail. Sophia Schneider (2), who moved up, made it to 16th place.

Shortly before the World Championships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic (February 7th to 18th), Franziska Preuß and Janina Hettich-Walz had to miss out on a start. The duo was missing due to a gastrointestinal infection. For the same reason, Selina Grotian was unable to take part in the individual race on Friday.
