Tigre confirmed the departure of the youth goalkeeper Federico Gomes Gerth, sparring partner of the Argentine national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatarwho interrupted the contract to continue his career in European football.
“Federico Gomes Gerth decided to interrupt the contract that linked him to our institution. The goalkeeper expressed his intention not to extend his contract that ended in December 2024”Tigre reported on his official account on the social network X.
“The early departure of the player was agreed, where the club will maintain 25% of the economic rights”noted the Victoria club.
Gomes Gerth, 19 years old, has already been introduced to Acadómico Viseu, which plays in Portugal’s second division. According to the Portuguese club, the Argentine goalkeeper signed a contract for three and a half seasons, until June 2027.
His time in Argentine football was linked to the national team in different categories: he was in the South American U-15 Championship (2019), in the South American U-20 Championship and in the U-20 World Cup (2023).
