Unlike his crash the day before, Kraft (130.5 m/126 m) didn’t let his victory be taken away from him this time after another interim lead. He kept the German surprise Raimund (127/135) and Saturday winner Kos (130/127.5) at a distance with a clean final jump.

“A very cool weekend”

“It was a very cool weekend in the end – missed a jump, it happens so quickly. That’s why I’m very, very happy that I managed to put together two perfect jumps today in conditions that weren’t easy again,” said Kraft. Before the long journey to the next competitions next weekend in Sapporo, he leads the overall ranking by 209 points ahead of Andreas Wellinger and 215 points ahead of Ryoyu Kobayashi. The Japanese finished in fifth place on Sunday, immediately ahead of the German. “I can’t look at it so much. I hope I can keep it that way until the end,” said Kraft about the situation in the overall standings.

Hayböck in eleventh place, second best Austrian

The second best Austrian at the end of the US competition was Michael Hayböck in eleventh place, Daniel Tschofenig landed in 16th place. Hayböck, with whom Kraft won the Super Team competition on Saturday, will miss Sapporo. In his place, Jan Hörl, fourth overall in the World Cup, returns to competition.
