The Monegasque pilot Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) today recorded the best time of the third and final day of preseason testing for the Formula 1at the Sakhir International Circuit, in Bahrainwhere the category will play the first date on its calendar on Saturday, March 2.
As happened on Thursday, the third day of testing had a rocky start after a poorly sealed manhole cover forced rehearsals to be suspended, when only 28 minutes of the round had been played.
Due to this inconvenience, the session was stopped for an hour and a quarter and, to compensate for the lost time, the teams and the organization agreed to cancel the scheduled lunch break and finally only one of the two scheduled sessions was held.
Leclerc, 26, who took to the track in the second half of the day, set a time of 1m30s322/1000 in the best of the 74 laps he completed and closed the day with the fastest record.
