The neo-national team player since the beginning of April had passed his high school diploma in the summer of the previous year and signed his first professional contract. Since then, the 19-year-old has completed his military service in the armed forces and pushed forward his sporting development. During his time as an army athlete, the defender played 29 games for the Steel Wings Linz AG, in which he scored eight direct hits and 17 scorer points in the Alps Hockey League. At the beginning of 2024, Söllinger returned to the Steinbach Black Wings squad and played a total of 18 games in the ICE Hockey League (two goal assists).

The good performances in the past season brought the Linzer into the national team: in the fall of 2023 in the U20 (even as assistant captain) and in April 2024 even in Roger Bader’s A team. After six appearances, the 19-year-old’s national team trip came to an end after the home game against the Czech Republic in Linz after three weeks of preparation.
