Ice hockey: Florida Panthers again in the NHL final

The first finalist in the NHL has been decided. Like last year, the Florida Panthers will play for the Stanley Cup.

The Florida Panthers have once again advanced to the NHL Stanley Cup final. In the sixth game of the best-of-seven series against the New York Rangers, the Panthers won 2-1 (1-0, 0-0, 1-1) and secured their fourth victory.

Florida had already made it to the finals of the North American professional ice hockey league last season, but lost to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Panthers also missed out on winning the title in the 1996 final against the Colorado Avalanche.

Sam Bennett and Vladimir Tarasenko scored the goals for the hosts. Artemi Panarin brought the Rangers back shortly before the end, but New York was unable to equalize.

In the final, the Panthers will face either the Edmonton Oilers or the Dallas Stars. The Oilers, led by Leon Draisaitl, are leading the series 3-2 and could secure their place in the final with a home win on Sunday.
