Hurricane qualified for the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup when winning Platense by 5 to 4 in the penalty shootout, after having tied 0 to 0 during regulation time, in a match played this afternoon at the Quilmes stadium.

The match broke down around the 35th minute of the initial half, when Gastón Suso – from Platense – was sent off, which complicated the situation for his team.

From there the Parque de los Patricios team dominated the actions, had the clearest situations but could not defeat a tough rival and had to wait until the penalty shootout to define the series.

Then, from the twelve steps all the kickers were correct, except for the Colombian Luis Angulo, who missed the last shot and with that Huracán secured the classification.

In the next phase Huracán will face Argentinos Juniors, who had eliminated Atlético Rafaela, while the winner will play against the winner of the duel between Banfield and Talleres de Remedios de Escalada.
