The French government reaffirmed on Monday that the Israeli delegation is “welcome” and that the protection of the athletes will be guaranteed by an elite unit of the national gendarmerie.
In February, the Iranian Football Federation called on the FIFA to suspend the Israeli federation for the war in Loop.
Last year an Iranian weightlifter was suspended for shaking hands with an Israeli athlete during a competition in Poland.
