After the Summer Olympics in Paris, national basketball coach Gordon Herbert will move to German champions FC Bayern Munich. The club confirmed this to Stern. The interview was conducted before the news became known.
Mr. Herbert, you visited the German national football team in their quarters in Herzogenaurach before the European Championships. How did that come about?
The DFB had invited me and we have been in contact for a while. I spoke to Julian Nagelsmann and his coaching team for half an hour.
Nagelsmann has been an admirer of your work ever since he saw a documentary about your World Cup victory with the German basketball team last year. What did you discuss?
