The Pumas 7s were eliminated from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the quarter-finals after losing to France by 26 to 14 at the Stade de France.

The Argentine team was able to turn around a match that had been 21-0 after two tries from Rodrigo Isgro and Marcos Moneta and subsequent conversions of Santiago Mare and Joaquin Pellandini but it was not enough to tie the game.

The failed tries of Moneta and Matias Osadczukfor not supporting the ball in the ingoaldid not allow the Argentines to impose themselves on the scoreboard when they were at their best, and they paid dearly for it with another try from Antoine Dupont at the end of the match.
