Copa Libertadores: River and Talleres will have their fans as visitors for the round of 16

River and Workshops They confirmed that there will be visiting fans in both matches of the round of 16 series Libertadores Cup.

Following a meeting between both clubs and security agencies from Córdoba and the City of Buenos Aires, an agreement was reached to finally have visiting fans at both matches of the continental competition.

The first match, which will be played at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium on Wednesday, August 14 at 9:30 p.m., will have 4,000 tickets on sale for fans of the “Millonario” and will be located in the Artime South Stand.

For the second match, to be played on Wednesday the 21st of this month – one week later – and at the same time as the previous one, there will be the same number of seats as in Córdoba and the Centenario Alta Grandstand of the Monumental will be their place in the stadium.

“The Club will plan, together with the security forces, the custody, transfer and access of the supporters of the Visiting Club to the Stadium, so that said procedure is carried out safely,” said the Minister of Security of the City of Buenos Aires, Waldo Wolff, in a statement.

Marcelo Frossasco, head of the Provincial Sports Security Council (COSEDEPRO), the Cordoba security agency, will hold a meeting this Friday “with authorities from both teams and from Conmebol to have a decision as soon as possible.”

He added: “Córdoba has no objections to this match being played with both fan bases.”
