This salary adjustment, which covers all hierarchical levels of military personnel and the Naval Establishment Police, was made official through Resolution 46, published in the Official Gazette. The official text details the new salary amounts, accompanied by the salary grid corresponding to each category of worker.
In its Article 1, the regulation establishes: “The monthly salary” of the military personnel of the Armed Forces is established, in accordance with the amounts and from the date that for the different hierarchies are detailed in Annex I, which forms part of this measure.”
The resolution came into force on July 31 and stipulates specific amounts for each position. These funds come from the general budget of the National Public Administration of the Ministry of Defense. The salary update includes both military personnel of the Armed Forces and those who serve in the Naval Establishments Police, according to their rank.
Furthermore, the regulations stress that this update aims to recognise “an appropriate hierarchy in relation to the capacity, responsibility and dedication required for the correct execution of their functions.”
