The measure was to be added to the one that the Aerolíneas Argentinas pilots will carry out on Friday.

The Department of Labor ordered compulsory conciliation this Thursday to air traffic controllers, so the ATEPSA union had to suspend the schedule of strikes they had planned for the month of September.

This measure was initially launched at 5 pm on Friday, for two hours, and it was going to last until the end of the month. The timetable included work stoppages at different times and on different days. If this had been the case, it would have been added to the strike measures that pilots and airmen will take, which are still in place.

Through the Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA), the Government had declared the measure “illegal” and announced that it would report the union to the labor authority. In this way, the strikes were suspended until the conclusion of the mandatory conciliation, which has a primary period of 15 days, extendable for another 15.

And they added: “Given the evident lack of will on the part of Aerolíneas Argentinas to move forward with a salary recomposition that adjusts to inflationary indicators, we are going to deepen the union action measures. We have been patient, we have dialogued, but The company, as the only response to the conflict, sends the pilots a pamphlet that attempts to break the collective unity of its workers.”

“It’s shameful the salary level we’ve been brought to. Let’s not play their game. We have experience in this type of conflict.and together we will go through it once again. The strike will take place on Friday, September 6, from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., on flights leaving AEP and EZE,” they explained in relation to the reasons behind the measure.
