Comprised of 70 athletes, the national delegation achieved its fifth best performance in history and the most outstanding since Arnhem 1980.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games concluded this Sunday with an outstanding performance by Argentine athletes. Made up of 70 athletesthe Argentine delegation achieved its fifth best historical performance and the most outstanding since Arnhem 1980, finishing 37th overall.

Argentina achieved a total of 13 medals: two gold, three silver and eight bronze. The medalists of gold were Iñaki Basiloffwho stood out in the 200-meter individual medley SM7, and Brian Impellizzeri in long jump T37. The medals of silver were obtained by Hernan Urra in shot put T35, The Bats in men’s football for the blind, who lost the final to France on penalties after a 1-1 draw, and Alexis Chavez in 100 meters T36.

As for the bronzesthe winners were Antonella Ruiz Diaz in shot put F41, Juan Samorano in Para Taekwondo K44, Fernando Vazquez in long jump T12, Basiloff in 400 meters freestyle S7, Chavez In the 400 metres T36, the boccia duo formed by Stefanía Ferrando and Rodrigo Romero, Paula Gómez in Para Judo, and tennis player Gustavo Fernández.
