In that sense, and regarding the decision not to adhere to the agreement of nations, Mondino He added: “These documents have been worked on since 2022, with another government, and the current Argentine government He found negotiations already advanced. Still, we proposed various constructive actions that were not always taken into account and that leads us to dissociate ourselves“, he noted.
In turn, he questioned that “agendas like this are composed of aspirations that are not legally binding“She said that the path to addressing today’s challenges should not be built around “rhetoric” but “only work, work and more work. It is the best or only option,” the Chancellor stressed.

“This forum is for constructively reflecting on the challenges facing the international community and how we can confront them. This is a special opportunity to express our points of view. Argentina is determined to work within a framework of freedom for individuals, who can make their decisions and be responsible for their actions under rules that are level playing field for all. We want to confront the challenges of terrorism, threats to territorial integrity, democracy, international security and economic development. To do so, we take as a guide the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations. Deviations from these purposes and principles create problems, not only for the country itself, which loses its beacon of freedom, but also for those who interact with it.We see it constantly. It is our purpose and obligation to remember the values that gave rise to our National Constitution, which since 1853 has maintained liberal principles from which, as a country, we should never have deviated.”
“Argentina is convinced that an agenda should not remain in mere declarations. We must say how we will achieve it. In that sense, we believe that The model that can do this is that of economic freedom. Hunger ends by guaranteeing more trade and not less.Development is achieved by deepening respect for institutions, fundamentally by respecting the right to private property. Young people will have a better future by respecting life and freedom.”
“Argentina has embarked on that path, starting by doing his own realistic diagnosis, however harsh it may be. We are beginning a serious transformation of the State“opening ourselves to the world and at the same time assuming the commitment to be able to say, with pride, that we long to be one of the freest countries in the international community.”
“In exercising that freedom, my country would like to recall that agendas such as the one that brings us here are made up of aspirations that are not legally binding and that each State, in the exercise of its sovereignty, has the right to interpret and pursue them autonomously, taking into account the different realities, capacities, and levels of development of each one and respecting its national policies and priorities, as already provided for in General Assembly Resolution 70/1.”
“However, many of the points of this pact and its annexes present reservations and objections or are retarded by Argentina’s new agenda. These documents have been worked on since 2022, with another government, and the current Argentine government found itself with negotiations already advanced. Even so, we proposed various constructive actions that were not always taken into account and that leads us to dissociate ourselves.”
“Our reservations and objections to the Pact for the Future are not, however, an obstacle for Argentina. On the contrary, we want to have wings for our growth in freedom. Mr. President, my country reaffirms its commitment to the peaceful resolution of disputes and an international order based on democratic rules and values. We want to show that the only battle worth fighting is the cultural one, showing that freedom and peace between nations are possible and we hope that the result of this exercise will lead us to a safer and more prosperous world.”
“I assure you that my country is willing to continue working, as it has always done throughout history, to rethink together the path to take in the face of the new global challenges that arise and challenge us as humanity. No rhetoric, just work, work and more work is the best or only option. We want the freedom to choose a better world and I am convinced that all the members of this assembly also want to guarantee this for each of the children, men and women who inhabit our common home.”
