Ámbito Debate presents the event “The leaders’ recipe: towards sustainability without borders”

Next Wednesday, August 25th, Scope of debate will hold your event “The leaders’ recipe: companies towards sustainability without borders”, a space where important executives will discuss the main initiatives that their companies are carrying out in the area, as well as the opportunities and challenges they identify, the importance of environmental care and current trends.

As usual, The meeting will take place at Lex Tower, located at Corrientes 1464, from 10 a.m. and can be followed live through ámbito.com, from the official channel of Scope on YouTube and the web debate.ambito.com. Sustainability without borders

On this occasion, the interviews will be divided into five panels, in which numerous representatives of important companies and organizations will speak, who will share their vision on the present and future of the sustainabilityan increasingly important asset both in the corporate world and in society as a whole.

The first panel will be moderated by Ámbito’s journalistic director, Julian Guarinoand will feature the participation of Veronica of the HerosSustainability Manager of Supervielle, and of Hernan CarboniDirector of Institutional Relations at BBVA in Argentina.

There, De Los Heros will emphasize three fundamental aspects for Supervielle:environmental, sustainable finance and social axis. These include aspects such as efinancial education, financial inclusion for clients, social impact and community volunteering, and growth and diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as energy management, natural resource management, inputs and waste, and awareness campaigns, among other items.

For its part, Carboni will focus on financial inclusion, which is part of sustainability according to BBVA’s approach, how the company carries out initiatives on this topic and why the bank considers it one of its strategic pillars.

The second panel will then take place, moderated by the journalist and editor of the Ámbito Politics section, Ariel Basile. The speakers will be Anne BousquetPresident and Co-Founder of Domaine Bousquet, and Juan Pablo BarraleCorporate Affairs Manager at CCU.

In it, Bosquet will delve into the initiatives that led the Domaine Bousquet winery to become a benchmark in sustainability within the sector based on its 360° strategy and attention to its pillars: water care, climate change, regenerative agriculture, thriving ecosystems, circular economy and quality and transparency. At the same time, Barrale will reveal the central aspects of the Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas in the area of ​​sustainability, and in the challenges and opportunities it identifies in this regard.

Scope of the debate: commitment to sustainability

The third panel, meanwhile, will be moderated by Julián Guarino and will feature the participation of Alvaro BronsteinSocial Innovation Strategist Sr Analyst at Naranja Maria Constanza FerrerSustainability Manager at Telecom.

Bronstein will discuss Naranja X’s commitment to sustainability, which is reflected in the measurement, offsetting and reduction of the carbon footprint through regenerative agriculture projects. The company is also working to reduce electronic waste, to monitor the financial well-being of its customers and to promote sustainable consumption. Ferrer will do the same, focusing on the initiatives that Telecom is carrying out in this regard.

Then, Ariel Basile will moderate the panel composed of Carolina LanganHead of Sustainability at Genneia, and Claudia KalinecCommercial Director of Pelco Group.

Langan will speak on various aspects of Genneia, lthe first generation company in the country to reach 1 GW (1004 MW) of installed renewable power, which also built and operates the largest wind farm in Argentina (Madryn, 222 MW). The company is one of the main issuers of Emission Reduction Certificates in the country and leads the placement of green bonds in Argentina, having issued +740 million dollars in the last two years.

Kalinec, in turn, will refer to the Report of Sustainability 2023, where Grupo Pelco measured its carbon footprint for the first time, being a pioneer in the field. Also on the installation of a photovoltaic solar park and obtaining certification in anti-corruption standards, registering in the Registry of Integrity and Transparency for Companies and Entities (RITE) of the National Anti-Corruption Office. It is currently the largest incineration company in Argentina.

In closing, the journalist and director of the Buenos Aires Herald, Stephanie Pozzowill interview the director of the Argentine Native Forests Foundation for Biodiversity, Nahuel Schenonewho will present the organization’s work in the country, as well as the different initiatives and proposals that it proposes for the future within the framework of a challenging context.
