The city of Rosario was devastated this Friday by a series of acts of violence, after a time of tranquility. A police officer was shot during a million-dollar transfer and there was a riot of detainees at Police Station 15 with a fire and injuries. On the same day, they dismantled a drug network where ten people were arrested.
In the early morning hours there was a fire and an attempt to riot of prisoners in the Police Station 15 of Rosario. The rioters were protesting the conditions of detention, overcrowding and an alleged search. In total they were 56 people in a place with capacity for 16 inmates.
According to the Rosario media La Capital, it all started when police officers carried out a surprise search where they seized a cell phone. In response, inmates set mattresses on fire and officers responded with rubber bullets and pepper spray.. Six inmates had to be treated, four for rubber bullets, one for the effects of pepper spray inhalation and two for the beginning of asphyxiation.

A large drug network in Rosario was dismantled this Friday in a series of raids ordered by Federal Court No. 4 of Rosario, led by Marcelo Bailaque. Five men and five women were arrested.
The raids were ordered within the framework of an open case after an investigation carried out by Agents of the Rosario Federal Operational Unit Division, by order of the Rosario Fiscal Unit Transition Area of First Instance. The operation was carried out within the framework of “Flag Plan” iImplemented by the Ministry of National Security to combat crimes in Santa Fe.
“Based on the field tasks and investigations carried out by the federal agents, four addresses were identified where the maneuvers of collection, fractionation, distribution and sale of toxic substances were carried out,” reported agents of the Federal Police.
In the operation, several items were seized: 18 cell phones, two motorcycles, two guns, more than $2 million, computers, tablets, digital scales and several doses of cocaine and marijuana divided and ready for sale.
