A 58-year-old man arrested this Friday at his home located in the Buenos Aires district of Quilmesafter being accused of alleged possession of material and weapons linked to Nazism. He was charged and, like the kidnapped elements, was at the disposal of Justice.

The case was carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Unit in Organized Crime (UFECO) in July of this year after the international investigation known as “Operation Nevada” originated by agents of the Federal Police of Bosnia-Herzegovina, who have the purpose of dismantle an organization dedicated to arms trafficking to Australia, Mexico, the United States and Greece.

During the investigation, they detected the presence of an Argentine, who would be involved in said trafficking network. In his house in the town of Bernal they found him a large amount of weapons, in addition to numerous items linked to the Nazi regimeafter the Federal Court of First Instance of Quilmes, headed by Luis Armella, ordered and proceeded with the search of the home.

In this way, the suspect was seized 43 rifles with Nazi eagle stamping, 15 pistols, five bayonets, a crossbow, a 9mm machine gun with Nazi stamping, two loading machines, 3,000 caps, 3.5 kilograms of gunpowder, 3,000 bullets and 2,500 shells of different calibers, a uniform from the Second World War with Nazi symbols, busts of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
Likewise, the officers seized a large number of objects related to the theme of Nazism, three trophies (stuffed heads) of specimens of Indian antelope (Antelope cervicapra) in violation of the Environmental Protection Law and two cell phones.
In addition, personnel from the Holocaust Museum participated in the operation, where they verified the majority of Nazi objects and symbols, in violation of Law 23,592, as well as workers from the Environmental Crimes Department, who certified the illegality of the heads of antelope found and the Weapons and Explosives Department together with the ANMAC who analyzed the confiscated weapons.
