National football team
With Wirtz against Bosnia-Herzegovina
Julian Nagelsmann starts with the best possible team against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Florian Wirtz, who has recently been weakened, is also playing in Freiburg.
Florian Wirtz is in the starting eleven for the national soccer team against Bosnia-Herzegovina in the last home game of the year. The Bayer Leverkusen offensive player was only able to join the DFB team training two days ago due to an infection.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann will forgo any personnel surprises in the penultimate preliminary round game of the Nations League in the evening (8.45 p.m./RTL). A win would secure first place in Group 3 of League A. The move to the quarter-finals has been certain since October.
The national team is led by captain Joshua Kimmich, who catches up with Berti Vogts with his 96th international match. As announced, former Freiburg player Oliver Baumann replaces the injured number one Marc-André ter Stegen in goal. In front of the Hoffenheimer, Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Antonio Rüdiger and Maximilian Mittelstädt form the back four in defense.
Robert Andrich and Pascal Groß take over the six positions. Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz play with Wirtz in the attacking midfield, as they did at the European Championships, with Tim Kleindienst storming in front of them.
