National football team
The German national team in individual criticism
The German national players also impressed in their penultimate appearance of the year. The game is decided quickly thanks to the strong offensive forces.
Baumann: Was able to watch the game calmly for almost 45 minutes, then was there against Gigovic with strong foot defense (45th + 1). Reliable number 1 representative.
Kimmich: According to the national coach, I would immediately play a second and third game, but not this time. Prepared the lead, confidently as captain, then went out injured (73′).
Tah: Showed Demirovic from Stuttgart his limits. Confident ball distributor, radiated calm.
Rüdiger: Was hardly challenged as head of defense, so was able to keep coming forward. Occasionally created space as a disguised offensive player and prepared the 7-0 (79th).
Mittelstädt: Ran up and down the wing, crossed sharply. Collected points in the team’s internal competition with his form and commitment.
Andrich: Shared the task with the man next to him, Groß, of providing the first impulse against the dense away defense. His second job, to step in, was hardly in demand.
Large: a haven of calm in the defensive midfield, which this time was close to the opponent’s penalty area. After the Kimmich substitution, right-back like last time in Dortmund.
Wirtz: Played after recovering from an infection and was closely guarded. Worked magic with the ball at rest: strong free kick goal against Paulis Vasilj (50th). Also scored perfectly to make it 5-0 (57.)
Havertz: First a little unlucky when finishing, then successful from close range before the break (37th). Always looked for the gaps next to Kleindienst.
Musiala: Also scores with his head in the DFB team (2nd), had little space to do magic afterwards. After almost an hour it was over, time to rest for the next tasks.
Kleindienst: At 2-0, stood where a striker has to stand and kept his foot in Andrich’s shot (23′). Rewarded his work in the penalty area with a header to make it 7-0 (79′).
Nmecha: Substituted for Andrich (58th), was able to prove himself as a folder in front of the defense. Fitted in easily and with little demand.
Henrichs: Came into the game after just under an hour, his cross went just wide of the goal (60th). Like Mittelstädt, who was substituted for him, he practically only plays offensively.
Gnabry: Substituted (58th) and with a lot of bad luck after a mistake by Vasilj, the ball rolled past the post (65th). Not quite as noticeable as his offensive colleagues.
Sané: Was given minutes of play for the first time since the European Championships and took advantage of the chance: scored to make it 6-0 (66th). Afterwards with a lot of speed in the game.
Koch: Replaced the injured Kimmich in the 73rd minute and moved between midfield and defense. Was allowed to collect home game minutes.
