Why is November 20 a holiday in Argentina and other anniversaries of that date.
In Argentina and in the world, every day is a reason for celebration and there is some event either important event of the date to remember it, whether due to the death of some important figure in the history of the country, the birth of a well-known artist, or the outbreak of a war from hundreds of years ago.
This is the case of our country, that each November 20 commemorates the battle of the Return of Forced occurred in 1848. This passage witnessed the confrontation between General Lucio Norberto Mansilla and the English and French troops, who were trying to block trade with Buenos Aires. Although they won the confrontation, they could not win the coastal people for the cause of free trade, and now this day is celebrated Argentine National Sovereignty Day.
