Round of 16
These DFB Cup games are on free TV today
Four DFB Cup round of 16 have been decided, four more are pending. On Wednesday, Cologne, Berlin and Frankfurt, among others, will fight for progress. This is how you see the duels.
The biggest favorite has already been eliminated: For FC Bayern, the round of 16 against Bayer Leverkusen was the last DFB Cup game of the season. Who can benefit from this?
There are two more duels between Bundesliga clubs on Wednesday: VfL Wolfsburg against TSG Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig against Eintracht Frankfurt. Crunch time in the cup! Freiburg, Regensburg, Bayern and Darmstadt already said goodbye to the competition on Tuesday. The route to Berlin could (perhaps) be shorter than it has been in years. The good news for all fans: On Wednesday, two round of 16 games will be broadcast on free TV

What happens next after the round of 16 in the cup?
By moving into the round of the best 16, the clubs have already earned almost one and a half million euros each. Progressing to the quarter-finals brings another 1.7 million euros – especially for small teams, this is an economic incentive in addition to the sporting prestige.
The eight teams that overwinter in the cup will then be in the quarter-finals in February. Then there will be no more parallel games: the first two duels will take place on February 4th and 5th, the other two on February 25th and 26th. The semi-finals are scheduled for April 1st and 2nd, the cup final in Berlin on May 24th.
