COUNTRY Tax: they extend the date for the payment of receipts

Through a Resolution, ARCA extended the deadline to comply with the obligations related to the tax. Initially, the deadline was until December 18.

A few days after the elimination of the Tax for an Inclusive and Solidarity Argentina (PAIS), the Government ordered an extension to comply with the obligations related to this tax. Through General Resolution 5615/2024, published in the Official Gazette by the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA), it was extended until December 26, 2024 the deadline to enter the payments corresponding to the PAIS Tax made between December 8 and 15, inclusive.

The objective of the measure is “to facilitate compliance with the obligations of taxpayers and/or responsible parties; it is appropriate to extend until December 26, 2024 the deadline for the payment of the receipts of the aforementioned tax.” Initially, the deadline for the receipt of receipts was established for Wednesday, December 18 of this year. However, after the publication of the resolution during the early hours of this Monday, the deadline was extended until Thursday, December 26, two days after the scheduled date for the elimination of the tax, as previously announced by the Government.

Elimination of the COUNTRY Tax

The impact of the PAIS Tax will begin dissipate from December 24. From that date, the 30% surcharge associated with this tax will be eliminated, although the 30% collection for Earnings and Personal Assets accounts will continue to be valid.
