Piedra Libre, the first CPI for children with autism

Piedra Libre belongs to the Civil Association “Hopscotch Community Garden” and will work with a team of teachers trained in special education, social work, psychopedagogy and psychomotor skills. The goal is to include kids with motor disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)a condition that brings together a multiplicity of diagnoses related to neurodevelopmental difficulties.

This CPI will offer inclusive projects designed to address the different challenges in the development of boys and girls. The activities focus on providing experiences that favor comprehensive development and according to the needs of each one. It also promotes the active participation of families through workshops and exchange spaces that promote a comprehensive view of child development.

What is an Early Childhood Center

Buenos Aires Early Childhood Centers provide early stimulation and feeding for more than 11,000 children up to 3 years old who live in a vulnerable situation. The new CPI will have 80 vacancies and 4 rooms, and will operate from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The spaces are safe and adapted to the specific needs of each child to guarantee full and equitable development. All CPIs in the City, in addition to guaranteeing educational qualityprovides children with three meals (breakfast, lunch and snack) organized by nutritionists.
