Cat vs. Gypsy King – Usyk and Fury ask to dance
The boxing world is looking to Riyadh: There Tyson Fury is challenging world champion Oleksandre Usyk for a rematch in the heavyweight division. Regardless of the outcome, spectacle is guaranteed.
On Saturday evening (live on Dazn from 11 p.m.) Ukrainian boxing world champion Oleksandre Usyk and Briton Tyson Fury will meet for a rematch in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh. Usyk defends the world championship belts of the WBC, WBA and WBO associations. In May, after defeating Fury, the undefeated Ukrainian was crowned the so-called “Undisputed Champion” for the first time since Lennox Lewis more than 25 years ago – he secured all the world titles from the major world associations. Because Usyk did not comply with a mandatory defense of the IBF Association, this time there are now three instead of four world titles at stake.
For the former heavyweight world champion Fury, the narrow point defeat seven months ago was the first professional defeat. Most experts see Usyk as the favorite and believe the Ukrainian will win on points again.
